How cute is this!? Yesterday ESPN and Disney+ announced that the Atlanta Falcons and the Jacksonville Jaguars game at London's Wembley Stadium will become an animated experience on Disney+.
Disney+ will use a "special technology to convert the NFL's Next Gen Stats and on-field tracking data into a fully animated, real-time version of the game set in Andy's Room from the Toy Story Universe" with Toy Story Funday Football. Ugh I cannot wait to watch this! Those watching can expect to see characters like Woody and Buzz Lightyear on the sidelines while the animation mirrors what's going on in the actual game, with about a 30 second delay for the plays being recreated.
Aside from watching an animated Toy Story themed football game, there will also be a half-time show which will be the one and only Duke Caboom from Toy Story 4, who will be attempting to do a special motorcycle jump. The Toy Story Funday Football game will air on Disney+ in the U.S. on October 1st at 9:30am ET and for those who can't watch the game in real time can check it out on replay once the game ends on Disney+.
