Mayor's Fund For LA Helps Families In Need By Giving Them $300 This Holiday

According to KTLA 5, the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles will help about 5,000 families in need for the holiday season by giving each family $300.

Mayor Karen Bass, L.A.'s Community Investment for Families Department and its Family Source Centers have partnered up to bring the program GIVEN. Families across the L.A. will be given $300 to help with groceries and other necessities and about $1.5 million will be given during this program. Families must meet a certain criteria that include living in L.A., having a household income at or below 80% of the areas median income and demonstrate hardship in order to qualify.

Families who qualify will be given cards through the new Angeleno Connect Card and all the funds from GIVEN are actually from Angelenos who have donated. Click here for more.
