South Florida's Venus Williams just became the second-oldest woman to win a professional tour-level tennis singles match.

The 45-year-old tennis legend defeated Peyton Stearns in straight sets at the DC Open yesterday, her first singles win in almost two years.

Venus' last appearance on the tennis court was in March 2024 when she lost at the Miami Open.

The only older woman to win a match was Martina Navratilova at age 47.

Venus, who lives in a $10 million mansion on Jupiter Island, also confirmed that she is engaged to 37-year-old actor and former model, Andrea Preti, after she won her singles match on Tuesday, July 22.

"My fiancé is here, and he really encouraged me to keep playing," said Williams about Preti.

Her new relationship comes three years after the seven-time Grand Slam winner said she was not “desperate” to settle down.
