Teddi Mellencamp recently had a bleak conversation with her father, rock legend John Mellencamp, regarding her ongoing cancer battle.
The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star recalled a chat with the "Hurts So Good" hitmaker during the latest episode of her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge. The reality star revealed that her dad called her 11 times to make sure she would be buried in their family plot in Indiana.
"Finally, I answer, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little.’ He goes, ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum.'"
Before agreeing to be buried in the family plot, Mellencamp checked there would be room for children Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, whom she shares with ex-husband Edwin Arroyave, per New York Post. The "Jack & Diane" standout encouraged his daughter to add the information to her will and visit the gravesite soon.
"He’s like, 'Well, there’s going to be the top five and then we’re gonna have little areas around it, and then that’s where everyone’s going to get buried. You’re doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there.'"
Mellencamp, who revealed on April 2 that her stage 4 melanoma cancer metastasized, joked that she wanted "hot girls never die" written on her portion of the mausoleum.
