Paris Hilton is back on the music scene with an upbeat liberating single, "I'm Free."
"I'm Free" featuring Rina Sawayama is a reimagined take on the 1997 song "Free" by Ultra Naté. Paris heard the song while at a club in New York after her traumatic experience at Provo Canyon School, and years later, "I'm Free" is the first single from her upcoming album, Infinite Icon.
"A song can change your life. And that's what "Free" by Ultra Naté did for me," Paris Hilton said in a statement.
"I'm Free" is the perfect upbeat tune that will get you in the club mood with its thumping baseline, dazzling synths, and amazing vocals from the extremely talented Rina.
Hilton also recently released another single, "Chasin'" featuring Meghan Trainor, in July.
When talking about "Chasin,'" Hilton said, "When I first heard Chasin', I was blown away by how perfectly Meghan had put into words an experience that was so true for me; that time in your life when you find the confidence, power, and self-love to walk away from toxic relationships and move forward with your life."
Hilton says Trainor has become a sister to her and she's "very proud of what we've all created."
"I started working on this song years ago and knew I had to save it for someone very special!! Paris brought it to a whole new level! She is my hero, my idol, and I can’t believe I get to be friends with her. Trainor said when describing "Chasin'." "She is the sister I always needed and when she calls me sis, I die of happiness inside. We made something truly iconic together and it was a bucket list dream come true for me. I can’t wait for the world to hear it!"
"Chasin'" is featured on Hilton’s upcoming album Infinite Icon, which is set to be released on September 6th.
The upcoming 12-track is a "self-reflective journey through Hilton’s life, exploring themes of fame, female empowerment, mental health, and motherhood" and features several artists like Sia, Meghan Trainor, Maria Becerra, and Rina Sawayama.
"I wanted this album to be an escape. To take people to a happy place where they can heal and party in equal measure. Where you can feel safe, feel empowered and most of all, be your own unapologetic icon," said Hilton.
The album comes 18 years after her debut album, Paris, was released in August of 2006.
