Five Teens Arrested In Connection To Brutal MSD Student Beating

As a teenager recovers in the hospital from among other injuries, a fractured skull, Coral Springs Police have announced several arrests made in connection to the brutal beat down that transpired in the junior student parking lot of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School within North Community Park on December 12th, landing that Marjory Stoneman student in the hospital.

Coral Springs Police released a statement reading in part:

 Our detectives have worked tirelessly around the clock, along with our law enforcement partners to include the Broward Sheriff’s Office and the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, to swiftly identify and apprehend the individuals involved.
Each of the following individuals was charged with one count of felony battery, reflecting the serious nature of their actions.
Sylvester Hicks Jr. – 16-year-old – Student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas (in-custody)
Jahmeer Beauziel – 17-year-old - Student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas (outstanding)
Caleb Hensley – 17-year-old - Student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas (in-custody)
Jordan Thompson – 16-year-old - Student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas (in-custody)
Chinua Leefatt – 15-year-old – Student at Coral Glades High School (in-custody)
