Rays Win Slugfest To Take Series From Dodgers

The Tampa Bay Rays (39-16) defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers (32-22) 11-10 on Sunday afternoon at Tropicana Field. The win gave the Rays a series win over the Dodgers, and Tampa Bay finished their ten-game homestand with a 7-3 record.

This game was a back and forth game throughout, as both teams offense came up big. Tied 10-10 in the seventh, Wander Franco had a RBI groundout that gave the Rays what would prove to be the winning run.

Isaac Paredes set the pace going 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored. Jalen Beeks (2-2, 4.55) picked up the win out of the bullpen, while Jason Adam worked the final two innings for his seventh save of the season.

The Rays now go on the road for the next seven games beginning with a three-game series against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. The series begins on Monday afternoon at 2:20 PM - Neil Solondz begins pregame coverage at 1:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
