Tropical Storm Isaias Slowly Approaching Florida Coast

While forecasters caution Tropical Storm Isaias is still a dangerous storm, it didn't re-strengthen into a hurricane overnight. Isaias is expected to reach South Florida this morning, before tracking up Florida's East Coast and moving as far north as New England early next week.

The National Hurricane Center's 5 a.m. Sunday morning advisory has Isaias (ees-ah-EE-ahs) with maximum sustained winds of 65 miles per hour and about 45 miles east, northeast of Fort Lauderdale and 45 miles southeast of West Palm Beach. It's moving northwest at 8 miles per hour.

Florida's East Coast may experience heavy rains, gusty winds, flooding, storm surge, and power outages.
