TSA Expects Staffing Shortages at Airports Across the U.S.

Looks like TSA is expecting some staffing shortages across 131 airports.

A spokesperson for TSA says that the agency is looking to hire 6,000 new officers, but have only added about half so far. I mean they are going as far as offering $1,000 bonuses for new employees.

"TSA is experiencing an increase in passenger volumes at checkpoints, and anticipating a significant summer surge in travel. We have been averaging over 5,000 Transportation Security Officer applications per week.” said the TSA spokesperson.
