Shakira Protects A Stage Crasher From Aggressive Security During Concert

Shakira's Mexico City stop of her "El Dorado World Tour" saw an eager fan make his way past security and onto the stage during her grand finale, but the pop veteran's reaction was the most surprising part of it all.

As per fan-shot footage of the show, which went down on Friday night (October 12), the Colombian singer was wrapping up her set when a man rushed to her area of the stage. He was immediately grabbed by security, but Shakira laughed off the tension and attempted to embrace the fan with a hug and selfie. Even after the crasher was escorted away from her, she held back one of her guards to prevent any further aggressive manhandling from happening. Scroll on below to see the viral video!

Next up for Shakira's ongoing trek is another date in Mexico, before she ventures onto Dominican Republic, Brazil and other countries as part of her Latin American leg of the trek. The venture will wrap November 3rd in Bogotá, Colombia.

Just last month, the singer announced an extension to her beauty brand with a new co-ed fragrance called Dream. "With this new launch the artist gives a very personal account of how her dream to make music became a reality," the official Shakira Beauty website read. "Dream You Only Live Once is a youthful, addictive essence with which to share Shakira’s experience -- and have the courage to turn our hopes and dreams for the future into reality."
